Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

BraveVoice is a speaking confidence app for children, operated by Lone Orca Ventures LLC. By using BraveVoice, you agree to these terms. A parent or guardian must agree on behalf of any child using the app.

Who can use BraveVoice

BraveVoice is intended for use by children under parental supervision. To create an account, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are a parent or guardian setting up BraveVoice for your child, you agree to these terms on their behalf and take responsibility for their use of the app.

What BraveVoice is — and isn't

BraveVoice is a speaking confidence and practice tool. Terry is an AI coaching character — not a licensed therapist, speech-language pathologist, or medical provider. BraveVoice does not diagnose, treat, or assess any speech, language, or psychological condition.

If your child has a diagnosed speech or language disorder, BraveVoice may complement professional therapy but is not a substitute for it. Please consult a qualified professional for clinical guidance.

Subscription and billing

BraveVoice offers the following plans after a free trial period:

One subscription covers all children in your family. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Free trial

New users receive 5 free sessions with Terry before a subscription is required. No credit card is needed for the trial. At the end of your trial, you will be prompted to subscribe to continue.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked in your billing emails, or by contacting us at dan@bravevoice.me. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access through the date already paid.

Refunds

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription payment if you are not satisfied. After 7 days, refunds are issued at our discretion. To request a refund, email dan@bravevoice.me with your account email and reason.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Intellectual property

All content in BraveVoice — including Terry's character, voice, dialogue system, exercises, and visual design — is owned by Lone Orca Ventures LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of BraveVoice without written permission.

Limitation of liability

BraveVoice is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lone Orca Ventures LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email before they take effect. Continued use of BraveVoice after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law
